Hey pens fans,
Well, I would like to start off with an apology for this post being so late, but I was having computer problems. Last night, the Pens took on the TOronto Maple Leafs at the Mellon Arena. the final sore was 8-2. In the first, Toronto opened up the scorin to make it 1-0. The Pens answered with 3 more goals that period: Staal from Malkin and Ouellet, Jarkko Ruutu (Penelty Shot), and Recchi from Whitney and Malkin (Power Play), to make it 3-1. In the second period, the Pens continued their domination. Recchi from Crosby and Gonchar (Power Play), and Recchi again from Crosby and Gonchar (Powerplay), for the hat trick. That made it 5-1. Then in the third period, Crosby on the power play from Gonchar and Malkin (Power Play); Ouellet from whitney and Malkin (power play);Malone from Malkin and Recchi, were the goals. The Leafs netted one in that period to make it an 8-2 win for the Pens. Fleury was in goal stopping 26 of 28 shots. The Pens had 30 shots. Faceoffs were dead even with 38 apiece. Recchi's hattrick made him the oldest Penguin to score a hattrick. He will be 39 next month. Now its time for the All-Star Break.
