Pens shutout canes

Hey pens fans,
Happy New Year! Well, the Pens hav definetly started off 2007 right. They defeated the Hurricanes at the Mellon Arena. Crosby opened up the scoring witha goal from Recchi and Malkin at 5:36 of the first period. Then in the third at 0:23 Whitney scored from Recchi and Crosby. Then to round out the scoring Crosby scored again at 11:19 assisted by Melichar. Fleury had the shutout stopping 31 shots. Nils Ekman did injure his wrist as previously thought and will be out for a while.
